Balu (Varun Sandesh) is son of lovable middle-class couple (Prakash Raj & Jayasudha). Swapna (Shweta Basu Prasad) is the daughter of a strict and rich father Ahuti Prasad. Both of them study in a residential college located at a small town of Godavari district. Balu and Swapna fall in love. Swapna is withdrawn from the residential school because her father comes to know about her love. The rest of the story is all about how Balu and Swapna try to get back to each other.

The movie revolves around eight youngsters, who become good friends in their freshman years when they join the college for their Engineering (B.E.). The first-half deals with the relationship of these freshmen with their seniors, who try to gain an upper hand over their juniors. In the second half, the movie also shows love and affection among one another, but does not ignore to emphasize the main aim of going to the college, i.e., to evolve from a young person with fruity dreams, to a more purposeful professional.

Kiran (Akash) and Aishwarya (Rekha) are neighbors in Hyderabad. They study in the same college and hate each other. Suddenly, Rekha parents shift to Ooty. In Ooty, Aishwarya founds an unopened greeting card addressed to Deepika (Tanu Roy). Aishwarya know the truth that Deepika is the girl who stayed in that same room. Deepika committed suicide because her lover Vamsi (Venkat) did not return for her. Aishwarya opens the letter realizes that Vamsi wrote, he explain his feelings towards her. Aishwarya does not want to disappoint Vamsi, so She starts writing letters on the name of 'Deepika'. Here the movie turns, on the other side Kiran would be replying all these mails on the name of 'Vamsi', as Vamsi dies of accident in Hyderabad. The rest of the story is about how these two people come to know about the real story? Did they turn their hatred into love.
